Italian singer-songwriter (Ivana) Spagna has been entertaining music lovers since the early 1970s, with her credits including a stint as one of the writers and vocalists for disco duo Fun Fun ("Color My Love"). Her 1987 solo single "Call Me" became her best selling release and signature song, hitting the No 1 spot in Spain, #2 in Italy and the UK, and #3 in Ireland. It also became a Top 10 hit in Finland, France, Norway, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland and West Germany. In the US it became a Top 20 Dance Music hit.
