Why Did Kareena & Shahid Break Up? One of the most talked about relations of bollywood was Shahid and Kareena’s relationship. People loved them as a couple and as a couple they looked very adorable together. Kareena and Shahid were very vocal about their relationship. There were even speculations back then about their marriage. But their break up in 2006 came as ashock to their fans and people were heartbroken with the news of their break up. In 2006, after Jab We Met’s shooting, the couple decided to part their ways leaving their fans disheartened. After their break up, the stars never spoke about their relationship or what went wrong. But recently in an interview with Anupama Chopra, Kareena has openly spoken about her relationship with Shahid. Well, both these stars are now happy in their respective lives. Kareena is happily married to Saif and Shahid is happy in his conjugal life with Mira. Shahid has two kids with Mira, Misha and Zain with Mira whereas Kareena and Saif have Taimur. None of them spoke openly about what went wrong in their relationship that they ended their relationship of 5 years. Recently Kareena revealed a lot about her and Shahid’s relationship. Kareena said that it was Shahid who convinced her to do the movie Jab We Met, and that is why they did the movie together. Kareena was shooting two movies back then; one was Jab We Met and another was Tashan. Kareena met Saif and got closer to him on the sets of Tashan. Things started getting worse between Shahid and Kareena when Kareena was more excited to go on the sets Tashan rather than Jab We Met. Kareena admitted that she thought that Tashan would change her professional life. Kareena worked really hard to get into zero figure for Tashan and she thought that she would become a big superstar in bollywood after Tashan. But things were really different in real life than her imagination. It was the character of Geet in Jab We Met which got her well deserved recognition. Kareena said that her life back then was just like Geet’s life. She was like the charming Geet when she met Saif. And after interval, just like Geet’s life changed totally, Kareena’s life also changed totally during that phase as she was going through her break up. The actress admitted that because of her soft corner for Saif, her relationship with Shahid did not work out. Jab We Met completely changed Kareena’s professional life and Tashan changed her personal life totally. Kareena was planning to settle down with Shahid but after meeting Saif, she found the prince of her dreams in him. Kareena also admitted that Shahid and Kareena had a mojor fight between them because of her fling with Saif. Shahid was angry and heartbroken and decided to end their relationship. Kareena and Shahid had an ugly fight and parted their ways and because of their ugly break up they are not even on talking terms. Kareena, after their break up, started to date Saif and they dated for around 5 years and got married in the year 2012. Shahid too started dating many other actresses but he finally ended up getting married with Mira Rajput in the year 2015. Well both these stars are really happy in their respective lives with their respective families.
