RC Drift Practice Day 3 - DARC Circuit

This is day 3 of drift practice and I am very happy to say the driving time is longer than ever & the tuning time is minimal! At this point, the car is handling very well, thanks to the helpful guidance and assistance of several fellow DARC members. Thank you all, it is greatly appreciated. 🤜🤛

Thankfully, I was able to get to the track several days in a row, so I think that was a huge help with getting comfortable with the track. I really had to get adjusted to gently using the throttle & steering, versus the careless style I was used to with the AWD nitro cars. I think I am getting a bit better, but it still gets away from me.

Prior to this practice, I double checked and tightened all bolts on the chassis and a few set screws as well. Because of this, I decided to use thread locker blue (removable) on the set screws that were working themselves loose. Hopefully they will not come loose on the track again. I'll report back on how it worked out on day 4.
Bought a set of D5 Pro Dampers and installed them before this practice. There is a huge difference in quality from the plastic ones that came in the kit vs. the aluminum D5 Pro set. As for ride height, I am currently at 7.5mm in front, and 8mm in the rear, but that is mostly because my body is a little low. I need to get some different magnet mounts with more adjustability and fine tune the body in tandem with the chassis and get it a little lower to see how it responds.
Additionally, I had to upgrade the rear wheel mounts. Mine is a Ver. 1 MR, so it has wheel screws instead of wheel nuts. The screws suck. In fact, the stock rear output shaft is made of plastic and the tabs on one side had broken off, which allowed it to spin freely & back the wheel screw out, causing my rear wheel to come off randomly on track. Which sucked, I got rear ended; dude had no insurance...then just drove off. 😲
True story.
