A brief of story of manduva houses.

A Manduva House (మందువ ఇల్లు) is a traditional South Indian courtyard house, commonly found in Andhra Pradesh, including the Godavari districts. These houses typically have a central open courtyard (Manduva) surrounded by rooms, wooden pillars, and tiled roofs, designed for natural ventilation and communal living.

In the Godavari districts (East and West Godavari), many old Manduva houses can still be found, especially in villages like Rajahmundry, Tanuku, Palakollu, Kakinada, Amalapuram, and Bhimavaram. Some well-known families and landlords have maintained these heritage homes.
