This video walks through how to disassemble, repair and reassemble a shallow well pump and motor so you can repair worn out motor bearings and a worn mechanical seal. The pump shown here is a Simer 2803 1hp shallow well pump, but the procedure is almost identical for many brands such as Everbilt, Red Lion, Drummond, Bur-cam, Mastercraft, etc. Instead of throwing out your noisy or leaky pump, you can take it apart and for a few bucks, replace the worn components, and put it back into service, or keep it as a spare.
