Ireland's Joseph Plunkett was a poet, patriot, teacher, and loyal son of Ireland. He fought alongside his fellow patriots in the ill-fated Easter Rebellion of 1916 to free his country from foreign occupation. He was condemned to death for his part in the rebellion. The night before his execution, he married his longtime sweetheart, Grace Gifford. They had only one hour together before the sun rose and Joseph was taken before a firing squad. Their love, courage and sacrifice helped pave the way for the birth of the Republic of Ireland. For more go to www.mlittwin.com
