The first thing, a fiber should have frictional property so that it does not slip away on even a small force. Secondly, more the length of a fiber, more will be strength , softness and lusture in a yarn. Thirdly, more fineness means , less thickness. lesser is the thickness, good will be the yarn. strength of a fiber itself is necessary to make a strong yarn. Last but not least, elongation property is quite important to make a yarn.
