Sajangarh Monsoon Palace, also known as the Monsoon Palace, is located on the Bansdara Hill in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.
Built in 1884 by Maharana Sajjan Singh of the Mewar dynasty, it was designed to offer a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape and the city of Udaipur.
The palace was intended as a retreat during the monsoon season for the royal family. It served as a place for relaxation and also as a watchtower to oversee the nearby hills and lakes.
The structure features a blend of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles. Due to its elevated position, the palace offers stunning views of the city, particularly during the monsoon.
After the Maharana's death, the palace was left incomplete and not fully used for its intended purpose. It later fell into disrepair but has since become a popular tourist attraction. The site is also used for nature walks and offers spectacular sunset views. The palace remains an iconic landmark, representing the grandeur of Udaipur's royal heritage.
