CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (Sept. 15, 2025) — U.S. Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 22, Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, conduct helicopter support team operations as marines from the Colombian Marine Corps, Spanish Marine Corps, and Peruvian Naval Infantry observed during Exercise UNITAS 2025.
Conceived in 1959 and first held in 1960, UNITAS—Latin for “unity”—is the world’s longest-running annual multinational maritime exercise. Now in its 66th year, UNITAS enhances joint maritime operations, hones tactical proficiency, and integrates unmanned air, surface, and undersea systems.
