Broughty Ferry, Scotland Drone Film

Finally got some decent flying time with my drone.
Will be using the drone more in upcoming videos.

Broughty Ferry is a suburb four miles east of Dundee on the north bank of the Firth of Tay.
Comprising an eclectic mix of big villas up the hillside and small fishermen's cottages along the shoreline.

Formerly a prosperous fishing and whaling village, in the 19th century Broughty Ferry became a haven for wealthy jute barons, who built their luxury villas in the suburb. As a result, Broughty Ferry was referred to at the time as the "richest square mile in Europe".

The striking Broughty Castle and Museum, right by the seashore is well worth a visit. Built in the 15th century to protect the estuary, its four floors now house local-history exhibits, covering the story of Broughty Ferry as a fishing village and the history of whaling, as well as details of local geology and wildlife.

Known locally as "The Ferry"
