After lots of trial and error, I think I have finally figured out my go to rig for pelagic kayak fishing over here in Hawaii. There seems to be little predicting when Ono (Wahoo) will show up so its good to be prepared with the wire. Some people say that Shibi/Ahi will not bite wire, but that has not proven to be true. I believe that Tuna won't bite bulky/ugly wire rigs. In this video I show a two step crimping method that somewhat acts as its own failsafe.
