Sew Along: Pipit Loungewear Set by Common Stitch (Easy Sewing Pattern) Pt. 1 Shorts

Today, I am sewing the Pipit Loungewear Set by Common Stitch. I absolutely love this pattern. It is easy, versatile, and comes together quickly, and of course it it super cute. This pattern is perfect for both beginner sewists and advanced sewists. I hope you enjoy. Please drop any questions you have in the comments!

You can watch this video as you are working on your own Pipit Loungewear Set, or before. There are a lot of little helpful tips along the way to help you make your own beautiful garments. For the most part, in this video I follow the pattern directions in the order in which they are in the pattern's instruction manual.

Note: I said I was adding 1.5" to the waistband to make a rolled elastic waistband, well, I did not have enough fabric so I did it as the pattern directed. I did add the 1.5" to the bottom hem of the shirt.

Fabric: Cream & White Polka Dot Keepsake Calico Cotton from Joann's (3 yards with the pattern pieces strategically laid out gave me a little extra fabric left over - however, if you have a directional print you will absolutely need more!)
