In 2011 during a trip back east we visited the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk, Virginia and I documented that visit with my new JVC Everio FULL HD 3D Camcorder. The museum's collection of glass art and sculptures really benefits from being seen in 3D so viewing this with a Meta VR headset is the optimal way to enjoy the video in full color. If you have a pair of anaglyphic red & cyan glasses around the house, select anaglyph in settings and view in three dimensions that way. And, of course, the collection looks great in 2D too in full color. I've time stamped the various collections below to make it easier to see what interests you.
The Chrysler Museum of Art is an art museum in Norfolk, Virginia that was founded in 1933 as a science museum but in 1971, automotive heir, Walter P. Chrysler Jr. donated most of his extensive art collection to the institution. The New York Times described the Chrysler collection as "one any museum in the world would kill for." Comprising over 30,000 objects, the collection spans over 5,000 years of world history. American and European paintings and sculpture from the Middle Ages to the present day form the core of the collection. The Museum also houses one of the world's greatest collections of glass (including outstanding works by Louis Comfort Tiffany), and distinguished holdings in the decorative arts and I found this aspect of their collection fascinating.
