Schmeisser SP15 in .222 Remington (18" barrel)

The latest iteration of my Schmeisser SP15 - hopefully this time I got it right! ^^

For those of you who are not familiar with the SP15, SP stands for 'straight pull (rifle)'. SP15 rifles are repeating AR platforms that were originally designed for the British market, where semi-auto rifles with a caliber above .22 WMR are not allowed. SP15 rifles were later adapted to the French market, where rifles with a length of more than 80 cm (31.5") are non-restricted. Since .223 Rem is a restricted (semi-auto) caliber in France, .222 Rem was chosen instead, which explains why the Triple Deuce is still quite popular in France.

You could say that the SP15 is a full-fledged AR except for one thing: it has no gas system. To give you an idea of how it works, the best way to mimic the operation of an SP15 would be to shut off the gas system on a side-charging AR-15.
