In this video we are planting stone fruits - plums, sour cherries, and a mirabelle - around our new kitchen garden fence. These will be fan trained, starting soon after bud break when their existing growth can be more safely pruned back without such a high risk of disease. We also plant an apricot tree in a large container to train across the rear wall of our garage, which is a particularly warm but previously unused spot.
Varieties:
Plums - Early Transparent Gage, Coe's Golden Drop, Kirke's Blue
Mirabelle - de Nancy
Cherries - Morello, Montmorency, May Duke
Apricot - Hemskirke
