Lesotho is a relatively small country completely inside of South Africa, yet it's the only one in the world that sits entirely above 1000m in elevation. The topography makes Lesotho feels massive, and with the strong preservation of cultural heritage and traditional outfits, Lesotho feels otherworldy.

While you can technically drive from one side of Lesotho to the other in a day, we spent a week exploring it's backroads and beautiful scenery. Camping in front of waterfalls and along rivers. Unfortunately we lost the best day of footage to a corrupted SD card, where we wild camped at the bottom of a beautiful river and then toured the inside of Katse Dam and the Botanical Gardens.

Overlanding Lesotho in a 1987 Hilux is challenging only because of the never ending rolling mountains and mountain passes, keeping us in first gear and worrying about the car blowing up at any moment. But the people we met were awesome, and it was genuinely refreshing to be able to visit a country that maintains it's traditions the way the Basotho do.
