2025 Year Recap, Big Year!!!

Filmed on December 17th.

So excited for this year and what was accomplished. My vision is coming together and things are finally starting to take off. Next year will be so exciting as well! What a journey so far, and we are just getting started!

Updated my seed starting process by getting heat mats and more trays.

Added 36 fruit trees which was a huge project. Dug 4ft diameter, 18-21" deep holes and put in top soil. Made rows out of the trees with placing manure/straw and then wood chips on top of that. They are Apples, Pears, Plums, Nectarine, Peach, Cherry, Fig, Apricot, and Seaberry. Also added in other perennials of Rhubarb, Blackberries, Raspberries, black and red currants, gooseberries, sea kale and Egyptian walking onions.

Added two archways in front of the fence. Planted grape cuttings and a hardy kiwi.

Added a fully enclosed/secure chicken coop and run. Added 8 Rhode Island Red hens and 1 Americana Rooster.

Added a horseshoe pit for some fun. Finally re-stained my deck which was long over due.

Added 3 trench rows of Asparagus.

Added a 91ft by 20ft garden which will have 3 ft rows with 1ft rows between for walkway.

Added a row of compost and soil to have flowers planted. A woman is growing flowers for her business on the property. Win win for both, we have more flowers to view, smell, and draw in pollinators and she has more space to grow even more flowers.

Added compost 1-1.5ft wide row along the fence line. This will be utilized space to grow more grapes, but all the vine type plants like cucumbers, snap peas, melons, and squash.

Put in a 8ft tall deer fence all around my gardens and orchard. his area now enclosed will keep everything I grow safe from the critters. This makes the area so beautiful looking. It really makes it a sight to see. I can't wait to just sit in it at night with the Wife and take it all in. Likely put in a swing somewhere so we can swing and enjoy everything around us. A little place to read outdoors.
