Cranberry Apple Cobbler
3 c fresh cranberries
3 c chilled apples
1 c sugar
1 box roll out pie crust
1/2 c packed brown sugar
In a 9x13 pan place 1 pie crust and bake per the directions on the box.
Add cranberries and apples, then sprinkle with 1 c sugar.
Top with pie crust cut into shapes. Bake at 325 degrees F for 45 minutes or until brown.
These are the directions on my calendar. I did not prebake the bottom crust. I put my crust in my dish. I added the cranberries, apples, 1 T flour, sugars on top of the unbaked crust. I then cut out shapes with the other pie dough and laid them on top of the filling. I baked it at 325 F for 45 min. I then raised the temperature of the oven to 425 F and baked it 15 more minutes. It turned out delicious. It reminds me of Gooseberry Pie. YUM.
