This is a camouflage bucket hat. I crochet using 3 different color yarn. I bring along the other 2 color yarn when I crochet with one of the color. There are several combination of camouflage color but I choose this 3, that is pink, green and black. It is just a simple bucket hat. The tutorial video is easy to follow, even for beginners. This video teaches you how to change color while you crochet.
The written pattern :
Bucket Hat (use 3 different color yarn to create the camouflage)
1) Make a magic ring and do 6 single crochet (sc) into the ring [total 6]
2) Do 2 sc into each stitch (inc) [total 12]
3) (Inc, sc) - repeat all around [total 18]
4) (Inc, sc next 2) - repeat all around [total 24]
5) (Inc, sc next 3) - repeat all around [total 30]
6) Sc next 3, (inc, sc next 4) - repeat all around - now the 4th stitch of this row becomes the 1st stitch [total 36]
7) Sc next 3, (inc, sc next 5) - repeat all around - now the 4th stitch of this row becomes the 1st stitch [total 42]
8) Sc next 4, (inc, sc next 6) - repeat all around - now the 5th stitch of this row becomes the 1st stitch [total 48]
9) Sc next 4, (inc, sc next 7) - repeat all around - now the 5th stitch of this row becomes the 1st stitch [total 54]
10) Sc next 5, (inc, sc next 8) - repeat all around - now the 6th stitch of this row becomes the 1st stitch [total 60]
11) Sc next 5, (inc, sc next 9) - repeat all around - now the 6th stitch of this row becomes the 1st stitch [total 66]
12) Sc next 6, (inc, sc next 10) - repeat all around - now the 7th stitch of this row becomes the 1st stitch [total 72]
13) Sc next 6, (inc sc next 11) - repeat all around - now the 7th stitch of this row becomes the 1st stitch [total 78]
14) Sc next 7, (inc, sc next 12) - repeat all around - now the 8th stitch of this row becomes the 1st stitch [total 84]
Once you have reach the size that you want, normal diameter for an adult size is about 7 inches. But it is best to measure on your head to see if it is too small or big. Once you reach the size you want, we will work 9 to 11 rows of sc all around, or until the hat touches your ear. If you want to make it bigger, continue to do increase in the same manner as above.
Hat Brim
1) (Inc, sc next 3) - repeat all around.
2) Sc all around
3) (inc, sc next 4) - repeat all around
4) - 5) Sc all around
6) (inc, sc next 6)
7) - 8) sc all around and cut yarn.
