We often get asked, "What casino are you at?" or "Who is the person playing next to you?". In Florida card rooms, players play against a “banker” (an outside company employee) rather than the house. The house dealer only deals the cards and collects a rake from the banker. The “banker” pays winnings and collects losses. When we tip, we are tipping the house dealer for their service!
