In a city where role models are scarce, and hope for the African American youth is diminishing, we stand out as one solution to that problem. Mama Africana is a not-for-profit Christian mentoring program based in the city of Tampa. Our aim is to empower young Black women in their ethnic identity and in their relationship with Jesus through the use of the arts.
