The SmartFactory-KL initiative was founded in the year 2005 by industrial and academic partners to create and operate a demonstration and research testbed for future factory technologies. Especially the potentials of the permanently improving ICT, which are already deeply affecting our daily lives, are tested for their impact, suitability and usability in industry. The fields of research, visions and experiences gained in the SmartFactory-KL are presented in this film.
