I took a lunchtime paddle in my Old Town Camden 120, around Stanwick Lakes backwater, on the river Nene in Northamptonshire. It turned out to be an instant favourite stretch of river due to the varied flow speed, different depths, and the interesting way it has carved through the landscape like a snake. It cuts right through a nature reserve so it's great for spotting wildlife.
