In this video, Mr Sean Chua, Chemistry Specialist of more than 20 years of teaching experience, highlights to his weekly JC 2 GCE A-Level H2 Chemistry Classes, on the Halogenation of Benzene via the Electrophilic Substitution Mechanism.
He is also the invited author for both the GCE O-Level Pure Chemistry and GCE A-Level H2 Chemistry Ten Years Series Books by Singapore Asian Publisher (SAP), one of the best book publisher in Singapore. He has been helping them to write the suggested answers yearly for the past decade.
Halogenation of Benzene is commonly tested in GCE A-Level H2 Chemistry Examinations (and equivalents) and students must be very familiar with it.
Look out for another video in this channel on the Halogenation of Methylbenzene. See the similarity as well as the differences. Have fun learning Advanced Chemistry!
If you are not familiar with Electrophilic Substitution Mechanism of Arenes, Mr Sean Chua has also shared very generously in this channel before. Do go and watch it and learn the key concepts from him.
