My Harp Journey 132:
"Bonifatius" from "Die Eisheiligen (The Ice Saints)" (composed by Kristine Warmhold)
15 June 2025, ca. 4 years and 7.5 months since I started to learn the harp.
In this video I play Salvi Hermes, a 40-string, lever harp.
There are 5 pieces for 5 saints in this book. These saints are celebrated in May as ice and snow melt and spring comes. It has been perfectly fitting with our cold days in June while waiting for the hot summer. I love these delicate cascades of downward arpeggios! Challenging but so rewarding. Just while I was playing for this last saint, the dark, cold sky had lifted and the sun started to shine! Just in time for our national day on the summer solstice, the hot summer has arrived!
You can listen to all the other saints in this playlist;
