New chicks meet the older Chickens for the first time. - I use the split cage method until chicks are the same size as adults and get used to one another. when I finally take down the center gate that is dividing the run ALL my baby chicks will be fully grown. Otherwise, the older hens will pick on the small chicks. The best way to mingle in person is done outside the run with food scattered around. They are in close contact with one another but distracted in looking for food. :)
