Tokina AT-X PRO 28-70mm f2.6-2.8, Upgrade-Lens housing & TEST_Focus breathing & Parfocal Zoom lens??

The upgraded lens housing in this video is optimized for the Tokina AT-X PRO 28-70mm f2.6-2.8 Nikon mount lens. I expect the AT-X PRO 28-70mm f2.8 lens of the same shape will fit, but I haven't tested it for fit.

I think the Tokina AT-X PRO 28-70mm f2.6-2.8 is a lens with excellent cost-effectiveness compared to its sturdy structure and optical performance. Regarding the optical configuration of this lens, there are rumors that it is similar to 'Angenieux zoom lens of the same specification'. However, I didn't mention it because I'm not sure about this, but it's certainly an interesting rumor. I recommend searching for more information on this.

Tokina AT-X pro 27-70 f2.6-2.8 is for still cameras, but has several features that are also suitable for video shooting. Among them, focus breathing has a relatively excellent deterrence compared to a zoom lens for a general still camera, and it cannot be said to be a complete 'parfocal zoom lens', but it has the advantage of maintaining the focus well compared to other still zoom lenses even during zoom operation. Also, as the focal length changes and the focal length changes, the length of the front of the lens changes inside the lens barrel. It cannot be called internal zoom or internal focus due to the optical composition of the lens. (I added a simple test scene at the end of the video so that you can refer to the characteristics of this lens)

Obviously, there is a function suitable for movie shooting, but on the one hand, the rotation radius of the focus ring is very short, which is insufficient for precise focus operation, and manual operation is not very good because it is designed to allow both auto focus and manual focus operation.

It is designed to provide an additional wrapper around the lens while retaining the original housing of the lens. During the housing process, the special button for connecting the aperture setting of the Nikon camera must be removed. It's a necessary device for recent Nikon cameras, but I didn't plan to use it with Nikon cameras, so I removed it. If you are a Nikon camera user, decide carefully.

The AF and MF toggle switches on this lens are operated by a push-pull clutch on the focus ring. Therefore, the upgraded housing is also designed to retain the same functionality.

I wanted to use the MetaBones V EF-E adapter (MB_EF_E_BT5), so I used the Nikon F to EF adapter.

The custom lens support is designed for use with the metabones V EF-E (MB_EF_E_BT5) adapter. M4 x 8mm screws(2 pcs) and one 1/4" screw are required to secure the custom lens support to the lens and adapter.
