The weekly studies and exercises of the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC cover the ancient Greek philosophers. In this spirit, we note that the teachings of the Pythagoreans, Socrates, and Plato have a remarkable transmission through Plato’s account in the Timaeus. In this teleconference, Hugh McCague will lead us in considering one of the key features of that text; namely, the Platonic solids and their expression of the sacred through geometry and mathematics. To illustrate the point, we will explore how these special structures assist us to go deeper into knowledge of the microcosm and macrocosm.
