Watch the unveiling of Wheaton’s very own commissioned mural, part of this summer's Waves of DuPage Beautiful Cities Public Art project! To celebrate the exhibit, Hokusai and Ukiyo-e: The Floating World at COD's Cleve Carney Museum of Art, an artist recreated an iconic Wheaton landmark in the ukiyo-e style. Guest speakers will highlight the mural as we dive into of a summer filled with Japanese art and culture-related experiences.
The mural is provided in partnership with the Wheaton Park District, Downtown Wheaton Association, and Wheaton's Fine & Cultural Arts Commission.
