On December 24, for some reason an XDE40 went on the 49! This is a very rare occurrence! On December 24, I wanted to catch the AC Transit Holiday Bus, but then I found out this bus was on the 49, so i made a quick plan & left my house much earlier, to ride this 49 from Silver all the way to Van Ness & Bay, then ride the 30 to Powell Street to catch BART to the East Bay for the AC Transit Holiday Bus.
This bus had a loud route announcement! And thanks to a 14 being right ahead of this bus, as well as catching up to another 49 on Van Ness, this bus was not too crowded! It was still crowded tho, after 24th St, but got much emptier as we made stops along Van Ness.
