On today’s journey, I travel from Stafford to Glasgow with Avanti West Coast in their Standard Premium class — the halfway point between Standard and First. But is it worth the upgrade from Standard Class? And how does it compare to Avanti’s much more expensive First Class option?
I’ll be judging it on comfort and value for money, explaining why I think Standard Premium might actually be the best choice when travelling along the West Coast Mainline!
