How to sew a half square triangle quilted wall hanging.

I used an A2V brands Peter rabbit fat quarter pack

You will need
Dowling
Batting
Fat quarter pack or scraps
Iron and iron mat
Thread
Sewing machine
Sissors/rotary cutter
Cutting Mat and ruler
Jute if you choose to make this into a hanging item.

I used my Accuquilt machine to cut out 32 half square trianges that are 2inchs when finished. If you do not have this use your quilting rulers or make a template with card.

I made 4 piles in the 4 fabric designs and made little pairs

Sew two half squate trianlges right sides togethr and repeat until there are non left.

Next Maie up 4 bookls and sew them together.

Quilt onto the wadding

Cut some 2.5 inch strips to make the boarder and attach right sides together. Trim the excess and press as you go.

Cut x2 6 inch lengths of jute. Tack them in place

Get a fat quarter and cut round the main from piece.

Put both front and back right sides together and leave a turning gap.

Clip the corners and trim the excess seams without cutting into the seam where the turning gap is.

Turn right sides out and poke the corners out.

Press and either Machine sew or Hand sew the gap together.

Pop the doweling through the loops and you are done.

Make this even more special by personalising or adding applique.
