This video is about fixing an inverter board in a CCFL monitor. Specifically how to trouble shoot a bad step up transformer. The most common failure of a step up transformer is an open circuit on the output coil. This can be found with a ohmmeter.
In monitors of this vintage, it is also a good idea to check the electrolytic capacitors. Any swollen capacitors should be replaced.
The inverter board is labelled PCB50054C and it comes out of a Viewsonic 2130b monitor.
Some monitors will have the inverter combined with the power supply on a single board and other monitors (like this one) will have a separate inverter board.
