Annual Polar Plunges have been held across the US since 1904. The largest, held in Maryland, had 12,000 participants. While usually done for charity, Polar Plunges are also pursued independently for their ability to release endorphins, raise dopamine levels, boost immunity, reduce muscle soreness, and improve sleep.
For this adventure, my friend Naor at @Naor Film encouraged me to join him in his annual Polar Bear Plunge. Inspired by Wim Hof, we convinced 2 more buddies of mine to ride to Rockaway Beach, NY and jump into the Atlantic Ocean in -1 °C temperatures. Come along on our epic adventure!
