On November 18, 2010, Magnus and Hikaru played 40 blitz games in Henrik Carlsen's suite in the Moscow Ritz-Carlton.
The games were meant to be private, but thanks to Macauley Peterson, we have a little glimpse of Hikaru experiencing what's widely known as the "Magnus effect" early on in his career, which he later said was one of the biggest mistakes in his career.
