Hi everyone, thanks for watching my very first video for 2015! I meant to get this out sooner (like the actual beginning of the year!) but life since the holidays has been pretty hectic - I was actually fighting off a terrible ear infection the past few weeks so I wasn't able to do any music work at all :-( So I'm really thrilled to finally be able to share this video with you, and to get back to work on a bunch of projects that were put on hold for the last few weeks!

I haven't played all that much of FFXIII (although I am a huge fan of XIII-2!) but The Promise has always been one of my favorite melodies of the entire FF series. When I first had the idea to make a YT channel and thought I might just do violin/piano covers to start, this was the first one I imagined I would record. The arrangement is inspired by the version created for Distant Worlds: A New World, but I put my own spin on it. I hope you like it! I really put a lot of extra time into this one, even though the music is relatively simple :)
