We caught up with Supersister backstage at Mighty Hoopla Festival in London on 01.06.2025 to play a game of 'Most Likely To' and find out more about Louise, Eleanor and Tina.
Supersister are celebrating 25 years of their UK Top 20 hit, 'Coffee', by reuniting for the first time since disbanding in the early 2000s and releasing their 'lost' album, 'Lip Service'.

Supersister is a British girl band made up of Eleanor Phillips, Louise Fudge, and Tina Peacock. After signing to Gut Records at the turn of the millennium, Supersister released three successfully charting singles: 'Coffee', 'Shopping' and 'Summer Gonna Come Again'.
With 'Coffee' securing a spot at No. 16, Supersister cemented themselves as one of the hottest new girl bands of the time. This success saw Supersister support the likes of Steps and Hear’Say on tour in 2001, while also preparing for the release of their debut album, 'Lip Service'.
After Gut Records went bankrupt, 'Lip Service' remained unreleased and became a mythical relic of 00s pop culture. But now, to the delight of many pop-music fans, Phoenix Music International has released 'Lip Service' on all digital streaming and download platforms!
Furthermore, the trio reunited for a special performance of their iconic hits 'Coffee', 'Shopping', and 'Summer Gonna Come Again' at Mighty Hoopla Festival. Their surprise performance was met with overwhelming cheers and
singalongs, proving the song’s enduring status as a gay anthem. “We were absolutely blown away by the reception,” said Louise Fudge. “We’ve gained so many new followers on our official Supersister Instagram, and we couldn’t believe how many people still knew every word. 25 years later, and they still love Coffee! It’s officially a gay anthem, and we’re proud to be seen as gay icons.”
The performance marks a new chapter for the pop group, now all aged 50, who have each navigated personal challenges including divorce, single parenthood, and life after pop stardom. Their return to the stage is a
testament to resilience, sisterhood, and the timeless appeal of fun,
unapologetic pop.
Supersister are next scheduled to perform at Chesterfield Pride on July
19th. “The gay community never forgot us,” added Eleanor Phillips, “and we
never forgot them. This is just the beginning.”
