Day 1

Date of Journey - 3rd April 2025

We took a flight from Indra Gandhi Airport Delhi to Tan Son Nhat International Airport Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City Airport).

Lantern Hotel - We booked our accommodation here for double occupancy.

Bui Vien Walking Street - This street is always crowded with tourists who come here to have fun, try local cuisines. This street is well-known for its lively nightlife.

Araham Chay - Hotels with chay written in vietnam are considered as Veg restaurants. We had soup here in breakfast named

Ha Tam Jewelry - This shop is outside the Ben Thanh Market. I got 25,70,000 VND in exchange for 100 USD from here.

Saigon River - This river has a historical significance in the development of Ho Chi Minh City. Today, the river is a popular tourist destination. Tourists take a tour of Ho Chi Minh City on Saigon waterbus.

Taxi service - Grab is a very reliable taxi service in Vietnam, you can download the app and during your travel in the city, you can book cab and do journey with ease.

Taxi we hired - we hired a 16 seater vehicle for our visit in and around Ho Chi Minh city, we did this booking from an ageny in Hanoi, for which we paid 150 USD for each day plus 8% VAT. If you pay in cash, they will not charge you VAT.

7 seater vehicle is usually available for 12 to 13 hours for around 120 USD and 16 seater for a cost around 140 to 150 USD.

Since our day is hectic, so we hired a vehicle for long duration. If you are looking at hiring a vehicle, it will be better if you check this out with the agency of that city, so in this case Ho Chi Minh city, over all people in Vietnam are quite dependable. They may ask you for 100% advance and settle on 50% advance payment which is ok, but they will not wait for journey end for the balance 50%.. Expectation is that you will pay when you arrive and on your day 1.
