Members of Reverie Youth Chinese Orchestra participated in the Philharmonic Society of Orange County’s collaborative performance with the City of Irvine’s Sweet Shade Ability Center at the Lakeview Senior Center in Irvine on September 27, 2025. Enjoy a medley of the two songs Reverie Youth Chinese Orchestra members played: The Taiwanese classic Moon Represents My Heart and the Eurasian steppe inspired Horse Racing.
Reverie Youth Chinese Orchestra is a symphony orchestra of young musicians from 7 to 18 years old playing traditional Chinese musical instruments. Chinese orchestra is similar to the Western orchestra in form but uses traditional Chinese instruments so the music produced has a distinctive Chinese flavor.
Reverie Youth Chinese Orchestra is a strong supporter of the local community and participates in many volunteer performances at libraries, schools, research institutions, senior centers, community celebrations, and music and arts festivals.
