Millennial Burger Places | executive chef spills the ☕️ on cringe millenial concepts

There’s a new trend making waves on TikTok that calls out the painfully predictable aesthetic of millennial burger spots. These places are easily recognizable by their marquee signage with clever-but-not-really-clever puns, exposed brick walls, and industrial metal accents. The seating is intentionally uncomfortable—stiff metal chairs that almost beg you not to linger too long. Despite the minimalistic decor, the menus are anything but. They’re filled with overpriced burgers that promise “artisanal” flavors but end up being bland or, worse, smothered in truffle oil just because it sounds fancy. The food itself is uninspired, often leaning on gimmicks rather than actual taste, with milkshakes that look better in Instagram photos than they taste in real life. This trend has sparked a wave of TikTok videos and memes, roasting these burger joints for being all style and no substance.
