Gravity (cover) | Archetype: John Mayer X | Neural DSP

My first post with some fresh Ernie Ball strings!

Today is a short cover of the quintessential John Mayer track: 'Gravity'. This rendition is an inspired by a Short that Mayer recently published of him experimenting with the Neural DSP archetype inspired by his very own live rig. I threw in a few licks from the formidable 'Gravity - Live in LA' performance because why the hell not?

I must say, even though I have pulled the plug(in) and have invested in this Archetype from NDSP, my (very boring) opinion of 'tone is in the fingers' still holds water. However, if you are inspired by John and his playing like I am, this plugin is definitely worth the money. The beauty of it, I find, is that it offers a wide range of tones regardless of your influences. It just continues to give back what I put in, and that keeps me playing and motivates deeper practice sessions - and for that alone, it becomes priceless. Needless to say, it pairs beautifully with my trusty PRS Silver Sky SE, which was once the prized pony of my collection, but has now become the workhorse. She never lets me down!
