🌞My grandmother lived in this village her whole life. No one in the village ever woke earlier than she did. While the mist still lingered over rooftops, she would quietly open the porch door, place the kettle on the wooden table, pour the first cup of tea — not to drink it just yet, but simply to sit and watch.
I once asked her:
“Don’t you think every morning looks the same?”
She smiled, her voice soft like wind brushing through the trees:
“But the heart never feels the same each day, dear.”
This year, she’s no longer here.
But I came back — to this old house, the creaky wooden chair, the worn ceramic kettle — everything remains just the same.
Only this morning, it was I who poured the first cup of tea, and sat there watching the sun rise above the mountains.
And I understood… no morning is ever truly the same.
