UK fire engines have left Ashford in a Ukraine support convoy with Kent Police motorbike escort.
22 fire and rescue appliances, including fire engines, and support vehicles have left Ashford in Kent to head to Dover en route to support the relief effort in Ukraine. They will be taking the supplies and fire engines to Poland for onward distribution.
The initiative is supported by the UK Home Office and Fire and Rescue Services. Vehicles from Kent Police, including a Kent Police motorcycle escort, joined the convoy destined for Poland to support the relief effort in the Ukraine.
Matthew Scott, Kent Police and Crime Commissioner, joined the event.
