Summary:

Sri Yukteswar is asked by Yogananda about his encounters with Babaji, the "deathless master." Sri Yukteswar recounts his encounters with Babaji, including how Babaji promised him that one of his pupils will be the one to bring Kriya Yoga to the West. "A golden middle road of action and spirituality must be established between East and West" (page 373). Yogananda is informed by Sri Yukteswar that he is that disciple.

Sri Yukteswar is also instructed by Babaji to publish a book regarding the underlying harmony between Christian and Hindu texts. The Holy Science is a book that relates Jesus' teachings to the Vedic discoveries. As promised, he sees Babaji again, but he flees swiftly, making Sri Yukteswar upset.
