The 2 Paths To Become A Cinematographer

People starting out in their careers often wonder what the right approach is to become a cinematographer. Because film industry work is acquired on a freelance basis there is no one path which leads to becoming a successful DOP. In this video I’ll go over the two most common paths to becoming a cinematographer, going to film school and working on film sets, and talk about a possible third path, the one I’m pursuing, for a career in cinematography.
