अमेरिका में हिंदुओं को कर्तव्य पूरा करने के बावजूद..सम्मान के साथ जीने का अधिकार नहीं मिल रहा था..वहां रहने वाले हिंदुओं को कई बार टारगेट किया जाता था। लेकिन अब हिंदुओं की सुरक्षा के लिए..अमेरिका के जॉर्जिया राज्य में एक सख्त कानून बनाने की तैयारी शुरू हो गई है। हिंदूफोबिया को लेकर जॉर्जिया में जो बिल लाया गया है...उसके कानून बनने के बाद हिंदुओं से भेदभाव और हिंदुओं के खिलाफ धर्म या नस्ल आधारित हिंसा को अपराध माना जाएगा...ऐसे अपराधों में शामिल लोगों को जॉर्जिया के पीनल कोड के आधार पर दंडित किया जाएगा...ये बिल 4 अप्रैल को लाया गया था...और इस बिल को डेमोक्रेट्स और रिपब्लिकंस सांसद..दोनों का समर्थन हासिल है...जिसकी वजह से माना जा रहा है कि बिल पास होकर कानून बनने की संभावना ज्यादा है...संभावित कानून के तहत हिंदुओं के प्रति किसी भी किस्म का वैचारिक वैमनस्य, अफवाह या हिंसा को अपराध की श्रेणी में गिना जाएगा.
