A great race, sadly the start was at 3200m instead of the customary 3600m due to the poor condition of the glacier, sadly a situation we are going to have to get used to with current changes in climate. This also meant that there was very little snow below 3200m which meant that the early stages of the race took place over the 'moon like' terrain which is normally buried under several metres of snow....fun, fun, fun
