Hiking through the Himalayas on the Everest Base Camp Trek, 2018.

G'day all!

Some of you may remember a few months ago i mentioned i found the memory card for the Gopro i had taken with me to Nepal. I thought i had lost all this footage on an old external hard drive that gone corrupt. Well turns out i still had the actual memory card with all the footage on it! And even better, i had enough actual usable footage to give you guys a glimpse of what the trek was like

My first solo-trip for anything really! One of the most incredible experiences of my life in such a stunning part of the world. Editing this video was a real pleasure because it brought back so many good memories of the trip.

Now bear in mind, the Gopro that i had at the time either didn't have stabilization at all, or i just forgot to turn it on. Either way, i've stabilized the footage in editing. The software has done a great job it, with only a few distortions here or there. A black bar is also present at the top and bottom of the video, which is as a result of the stabilizing process having to crop the video. I didn't want to remove them because that would mean having to crop the video even further, and would reduce image quality even more.

Furthermore, the gopro was handheld the entire hike (not on a selfie pole) so any time i moved my fingers or hand, it would rub the microphone and cause some annoying sounds. I've tried to remove and reduce as much of it as i can.
