Case Study: Johann Sebastian Bach – Partita No. 2 in C minor, BWV 826
Analysis and Interpretation according to the teachings of Pnina Salzman
Salzman's phrasing aims to bring out the musical speech and reveal its expression by observing the main building blocks of the music - rhythm, harmony and melody, in a poetic way, characterising and distinguishing the spirit of the different sections, voices, lines and elements accordingly.
