A childhood without FGM | UNICEF

Although primarily concentrated in 29 countries in Africa and the Middle East, female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) is a universal problem and is also practiced in some countries in Asia and Latin America.

This video follows the story of a young Egyptian girl and her parents faced with the decision of having the practice performed on their daughter.
